    This is a great plugin and I use it to create local copies on all my development sites, however, the files generated by the backup, sometimes in the GB in size, remain on the server indefinitely. Can you add a feature that removes these after downloading?

    This is particularly an issue with hosting providers that have storage space limitations.

    I understand that you would like a feature that removes the backup files from the server after they have been downloaded to your local machine. Unfortunately, it is not technically possible for the plugin to detect when a download is complete, as this is a function of your web browser and operating system.

    However, I can suggest that you look into the Unlimited Extension for All-in-One WP Migration. This extension includes a cleanup feature that allows you to delete backups older than a specified number of days. This can help you to free up storage space on your server and prevent the backup files from accumulating indefinitely.
