[Resolved] File is empty Error

  • I am using front end posting … classipress theme. When I try to upload avatar image from front end as normal user I get this error.
File is empty. Please upload something more substantial. This error could also be caused by uploads being disabled in your php.ini or by post_max_size being defined as smaller than upload_max_filesize in php.ini.

  • Hi nims,

Thank you for reporting. Have you encountered the same issue with previous versions of the plugin? Does it work if you try to upload an avatar image from the Users Your Profile Screen?

    Best regards,
    Cătălin

I am using this plugin for the first time so can’t tell about earlier versions.
The access to WP backend is restricted to contributors. However, I tried to upload an avatar as an admin from backend for a contributor and it worked fine. The results were visible on front end too.

So, essentially it is not working for Front End posting themes maybe.

    Hi, Catalin
I used your plugin using classipress 3.3. and previous version of your plugin and it worked properly. But now, after I have upgraded both Classipress and Avatar Manager plugin, I receive the same error as nims.

    Hello,

The issue is caused by version 1.5.1 of Avatar Manager. Plugin scripts are conditionally loaded when the IS_PROFILE_PAGE constant is defined. The WordPress core defines it on user profile pages and most of the plugins that enable front-end user editing. As a temporary solution you could define it yourself in the Classipress profile template or use the previous version of the plugin.

    Thank you,
    Cătălin

Ok, using avatar manager 1.4.0. version of your plugin with classipress 3.3.1 all is ok. Thanks, Catlin.

I am having the same problem, I need to add in my avatar genrenciador ClassiPress v3.3, but of this same error. What do I do?

I’m getting the same problem in sites running Weaver Pro theme. Are you planning to release a new version of Avatar Manager which addresses the issue, rather than people having to use an old version (possibly with other issues)? Thanks.

    Hello robf,

Thank you for reporting. This will be fixed with the next version of the plugin.

    Best regards,
    Cătălin

Any estimate of when version fixing above problem will be released? Thanks.
