Nope. Just tested the download and they open up fine in Winzip. What zip tool, browser and OS are you using?
The files aren’t corrupted. They more than likely were damaged in the download.
Delete what you have and download them again.

I have Winzip 9.0 and Winrar Windows XP and IE 5.0, on the zip link it downloads 144kb and then stops, by the tar it stops at 255kb.
do you have any mirrors?
Try a different browser. I am having no difficulties using Firefox.
At the time Giuna was posting I have also tried several times the download – exactly in the same way, same browser as always! – and it didn’t work. Winzip was claiming “not a valid archive”. So there was something going on.
