I would like to have tables on my pages showing the content of files.

I installed Table Press and tried this, but it shows what I typed, i.e., [fileaway].

Does anyone know of a table plugin that will allow me to put fileaway shortcode in a table cell and see the content of the file and not the file name? The content will always be short numbers in text format. For example, I might want a simple 1-row, 2-column table with ‘Temperature’ in the first cell and 38.5 in the second cell. The temperature value, i.e., 38.5 in this example, will be in a text file to which File Away points.

Any ideas on this would be much appreciated.

If you’re seeing [fileaway] inside the Table Press table, it’s because Table Press is not rendering shortcode content inside their tables. You’ll have to take that up with them.

File Away does not show the _contents_ of files. It provides links to files.
