File attachment error

    Hi.

    The attachment field doesn’t work properly for me. Everything looks just fine but when I receive the email there are no attachments but instead there is “code” for the files. Like this: “iVBORw0KGgoAAAANSUhEUgAAAZAAAACMCAYAAAEl288OAAAAGXRFWHRTb2Z0d2Fy” (copied the first line. Does anyone know what I can have done wrong?

    I have studied this post and everything looks fine there.

    Try deactivating all other plugins and switching to the default theme.

    What do you mean swithching to the default theme? Do I have to switch to TwentyFourteen in order for it to worK? Or do you mean default as in not the child-theme, because I am already using the default in that case.

    I mean switching to Twenty Fifteen.

    But I want to keep my old theme. I mean the whole website is finished, except from the fact that this is not working. Or do you mean that I should switch to Twenty Fifteen and then switch back? Will this not affect my website?

    You can switch back after confirming the old theme is not the cause of this issue. Switching theme doesn’t affect a web site.
