WordPress.org normally don’t support commercial themes.
I would contact the theme developer and ask them.

But i thought this was a free theme of Inkhive, not commercial.
Anyway i contacted them about a week ago but didn’t get answer.
I just like to contact people who have some experience whith this theme and can help me out.

I’m GUESSING the grid may be a theme option or posts page with featured images? – what shows up under theme options?

I know about html and css (etc) but WP is totally strange for me. Probably i don’t understand the basic structure.

WPyogi is right, I just tried the theme and for that effect you can’t have a static front page.
The way the theme is it shows your most recent post. The image is what you upload as a featured image.
LOL – I just installed it too – so yeah, you have to select latest posts for your home page (under Settings > Reading) and you need to have a featured image in those posts. I don’t think there is any way to use videos in those locations, at least not without a fair amount of custom coding.
BTW, no one’s too old to learn WP :)!
To give some information: i make my own videoclips in an artistic way (i hope 😉 ).

Hmm. I saw in the html of the text there is a link to the photo, so i can change that in the link to the video (on Vimeo). But maybe i’m wrong (no experience with WP, i made my website always myself) and in that case i can’t use this theme.
To know this is a great help. So i’ve to look for another theme.
But maybe it’s possible, who knows?

Featured images don’t work with externally linked images (lots of people would like that too) – that’s a WP issue not this theme.
I looked for a plugin that would create a grid of videos – didn’t see any, not sure about themes though.
