${field_name} inside a {{BEFORE}} section

Hi,
I want to add a header to my page containing one of the DB fields like this: “List of ${school} students” but it looks like having a ${field_name} inside a {{BEFORE}} section doesn’t work. Any suggestions on how to achieve that?
