field groups – reading out on frontend

surely i’m a brick made of eggs, so I just can’t make it work. after 3 hours I found the option to export a php code, which I added to my child theme functions.php. I create a paragraph, which now lets me to ‘connect it to a field’, souf, nothing to offer me there. I am at a loss. no shortcodes, no tutorials, and I just wanna read out the fields, i’ve created and filled. I don’t get it.
tl;dr: have created and filled a field with a value. now, how to read it out frontend.
