• I apologize if I leave out necessary info.

I have 1 post, 1 welcome page and 1 about page. I was advised to change the front page to static. When trying to do so I only see the Welcome and about pages as my choices. I want the Post to be the front page in that field for the static page. Why is it not showing up? How do I correct this?

Next, I have changed the permalink to custom > /%postname%/ and yet when I view the site, I do not see the postname within the url. How do I correct this?

Any help is appreciated, thank you,

    Robert

Your blogs home page, or “Posts page” already shows your posts by default, but it is not static. It will update itself with each new post you make. I think the reason you only have the welcome page or about page to chose from as a static page, is because those are the only pages you have on your site. If you create other pages, those will also become available in the list of pages you can choose from.
I hope I understood correctly what you are asking…

This article may contain some useful information on permalink configurations and what your best options might be, as well as how and when they can be used.
