I think a description of “not working” would be helpful.
Are you saying that because your browser can’t open it when you click the RSS link? If so, edit your theme to remove “feed:” from the link.

When I attempt to ping my site with technorati, ping-o-matic, or other ping sites they send me an error message.
This will be a somewhat predictable response, I suppose:
Would you consider sharing what those error message look like? A link to the site in question? Details?

It sure looks like something is trying to validate your site instead of your feed.
I looked at your feed. It doesn’t have doctype in it.
Be sure to give whatever tool you’re using your real feed url. Currently, that would be: http://africanamericanpoliticalpundit.com/?feed=rss2
