I am getting a 404 Not Found for every page in the site for wdcb.stcwdc.org/feed/rss
I don’t even have a link to that on my site but I guess search engines or people are looking for it. I read that WordPress is supposed to generate RSS feeds automatically. If so, why can’t it be found? Even when I add a link to the URL for the feed, all I get is a refresh of the home page so it doesn’t seem to exist at all. Does anyone know how to fix the Not Found problem or how to get the RSS feed to show up?

I am wondering if the RSS feed is only for sites that have posts and not for WordPress sites that aren’t blogs.
If that is the case, how do I disable the attempts to find the RSS feed?

    Thanks. My site is http://wdcb.stcwdc.org

Have you tried disabling plugins to rule out a plugin-related issue?

Have you tried temporarily reverting to the default theme to rule out a theme-related issue?

Yes, the RSS feed will list posts.

OK that explains why it isn’t showing up but since WordPress is supposed to automatically generate the RSS feed for blogs, how do I tell search engines not to look for it in a site where WordPress is used as a CMS?
Is there something like “noindex” (maybe “nofeed”) that can be added to the header?

If you are comfortable coding, review this:

There may be a plugin, but I found none from a well known dev.
