    Hi,

My websites feed is at http://www.auroraseek.com/feed

Feedvalidator.org shows this error when I try to check the feed. “It looks like this is a web page, not a feed. I looked for a feed associated with this page, but couldn’t find one. Please enter the address of your feed to validate.”

However, Chrome sees the feed just fine (as an xml), as does firefox (displays the feed). Chrome feed reader extensions pick up the feed just fine.

When I checked with W3C feed validation service, the Rss feed is valid!! How can the two services be showing such different results? I know for a fact that the feed is working, but I need it to be OK in feedvalidator too.

Check out the following links to reproduce the error:

    Recreate feedvalidator error

Reproduce valid result at W3C feed validation

I have tried switching themes to twenty seventeen, still an issue.
Emptied all caches, still an issue.
Turned off my caching plugin, still an issue.

Any ideas why this is happening! Am at my wits end – Any inputs will be highly appreciated.

FeedValidator.org is a bit out of date, use http://validator.w3.org/feed/check.cgi?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.auroraseek.com%2Ffeed%2F instead.

And it all seems fine there. 🙂

If it is working I don’t understand your issue. If you are having an issue with FeedValidator you will have to take it up with the developers of that site. Which was created 15 years ago and not an “Offical” page of any kind.

    Thanks folks.

The issue was that a couple of directories I wanted to submit my site to use feedvalidator to validate the feeds before accepting my site.

I guess those directories arent worth it then, if they are using feedvalidator.

I really appreciate your inputs. Thanks, both of you.
