I’m not understanding why I cant change the feed account, is it not available in the demo version? Also the buttons to turn features on and off are not working in the actual widget set up.

Hi,
What feed account can you not change?
If you are using the customizer to add widgets, the buttons will not work. You can add widgets from Appearance->Widgets.
