Feauture image

Because i dont like to use featured images in my site but only in posts, is any way to show in my wptouch theme as feature image the first photo of each post? I used before this plugin http://wordpress.org/plugins/wpapptouch/ and doit perfect this. But the plugin have many other bugs and i deleted. Your plugin is excellent but i want to solve this with photos.
