Featured images for posts

    Hello – the featured image for posts are cropped out and do not display all of the photo. It makes the site look horrible and unusable. This is the most important part of any site and should have been optimized in the theme to work – but it does not.The images are not properly scaled down to show the entire product. I have tried everything to fix it including resizing and the Regenerate Thumbnails plugin and so on – but nothing works. When I present products from Amazon, the refrigerators and stoves photos etc… are especially cropped out.It only shows the middle of the photo and most of the time you cannot make out what the photo is. If this cannot be fixed I will have to unistall the theme and use another one. This can be viewed at http://shop.homelectronix.com

    Hello @neddyrich1,

    Like all the other themes this theme has it’s own sizes of images. Regenerate thumbnail plugin’s task is converting all the images into the theme defined image sizes.

    Following are the image sizes for this theme. Names given inside the brackets are the names defined by the theme for those image sizes.

    1. Slider(“featured-slider”) – 752px x 440px
    2. blog posts listing images(“featured”) – 388px x 220px.
    3. small thumbnails(“small-thumb”) – 120px x 85px.

    So if you need different sized images I suggest you to use Simple image sizes plguin. It allows you to edit image sizes. After editing the image size values please run the regenerate thumbnail plugin to crop the images again.
