How can I make sure that the featured images I am uploading are filling up the entire space .. meaning the width ?

I noticed.. if I am uploading images that sometimes the images don’t go to the end of the page.. speaking from the width …

would be cool to know what I have to do that the images will automatically fit after uploading.

can you give me a link to an example site where the image doesn’t fill the whole width?

You could install the Custom CSS plugin for WordPress, then put your code there.

For the 2014 theme the ideal Featured Image size is 1038 x 576. no css needed, just make sure the images you are uploading are big enough.
