The image is already displayed in your feed because it’s part of the body of the post? Then you need to choose between using the Featured Image, or adding it to the body of the post. Otherwise you get two images shown in the feed.
If the Featured Image isn’t displayed by your theme, and so you add it to the body, then perhaps there’s a theme option you can use to display the Featured Image, or you can ask the theme author to support Featured Images, modify the theme code to add support for Featured Images, or change themes.
I’m having the same problem. I have CSS code to hide the featured image in my posts and pages because it otherwise displays very large and before any text, meaning a reader would have to scroll way down to see my post. Instead I use the photo as part of my post, within the content area. Now that I’m using this plugin, however, the RSS feed is displaying the thumbnail size that I chose and the full image size as well. Can I hide the full image size from appearing in my feed? Is there code I can add or can I have the plugin override that?
Hi there, as noted above, your theme should support Featured Images properly, and then you’d remove the images from the body.
You can’t hide the featured images and use body images, because both with show up in the feed.
To fix your issue, instead of hiding the featured image, use CSS to properly format it, or customize the theme to rearrage it, so it works the way you want it to, or change themes.
The plugin only adds featured images to the feed. If you aren’t using featured images on the posts, turn the displayoff as you are, don’t use this plugin, and enjoy the images in the body only?
