Feature suggestion
-
Hello,
We’ve been exploring FileVue and I must say, this plugin has incredible potential. The core functionality is solid, and we are closely watching its development as we consider moving to a premium license for our workflow.
Based on our specific needs and use cases, we’ve put together a list of feature suggestions that we believe would take to the next level and make it an indispensable tool for client management:
1. Localization & UX Improvements:
- Multilingual Folder Support: Support for creating folder names in different alphabets (e.g., Cyrillic) to support international clients.
- UI Enhancements: The PDF viewer popup would benefit from being wider for better readability, and the Data Sheets viewer needs to be fully responsive for desctop/mobile/tablet use.
2. Dashboard & Client Management:
- Customizable Layouts: Options for different layout styles for the client dashboard.
- Tabbed Dashboard: A default dashboard view with organized advanced tabs for Invoices, Agreements, Support, Documentation, Monthly maintenance reports etc. Also a client home page where there will be a client’s general information, banners, contact details etc.
- Personalized Documentation: Functionality similar to the “BetterDocs” plugin, allowing for client-specific documentation and knowledge bases.
- Ticketing System: An integrated support ticketing system to keep client communication within the portal.
3. Security & Integrations:
- Enhanced Security: A Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) option specifically for client logins.
- Bot Protection: Integration with Cloudflare (e.g., Turnstile) for secure logins and form submissions.
- Form Compatibility: Seamless integration with popular form builders like Gravity Forms and Formidable Forms.
- Page Builder & Meta Support: Deep integration with Elementor and Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) for more dynamic layouts and functionalities.
- E-commerce/Payments: WooCommerce integration to allow clients to pay their invoices directly through the portal.
Many of these features could likely be achieved through integrations with existing industry-standard plugins, which would make this plugin the “hub” of ourclient operations.
We are excited to see the direction this plugin takes. If these types of features are on your roadmap, it would definitely make the decision to purchase a premium license an easy one for us.
Best regards,
Steve
