• I’d like widgets on the dashboard that report various statistics about the public use of my link library.

For example, the “top 10 most clicked links” (…links that are getting the most clicks between date x and date y, where x and y are defined by the user of the widget, and can be easily reset right there in the dashboard widget–to create a report for top 10 this past month, or the top 10 this past quarter, etc.).

Other examples include, “Top 10 most clicked links of all time”, and “Top 10 trending links” (…links that are getting the most clicks in past z days, where z is defined user of the widget).

I think this would be a very popular feature 🙂

  • This is a nice feature. I think it would also be great to be able to display “Top 3 Links” or “Random Link of the Day/Week” (suggested in another post) on a page with code as well.

This user is asking about things for the admin dashboard. Are you asking about displaying links to visitors? It is already possible to display a random link or the top 3 links.

To display a random link to visitors, set the library to display links in random order, then limit the number of links to 1.

To display the top 3 links, set the links to be displayed ordered by number of hits, and again limit the number of links to display to 3.

I’m afraid I’m hijacking this thread (sorry about that, as I still think the Traffic Report’s a good idea)… I found out how to make more than 1 library on this other post (https://wordpress.org/support/topic/link-description-and-multiple-libraries/). It works! 🙂
