Excuse my total noob-ness if there is a well known and/or completely obvious workaround / hack for this.
I have made up a full site-width banner, composed of a grid of individual Gallery instances, with them all stacking seamlessly and each displaying a random thumbnail from their respective gallery.
What I would like to see is that the thumbnails cycle through that entire gallery – basically the thumbnails are playing as though they were running in slideshow mode.
‘Why don’t I just make a grid of Slideshows instead ?’ – because I still want the full, uncropped gallery images to open in the pop-up lightbox when clicked. Also, I don’t want to crop the full size images to conform to the grid dimensions [ especially the portrait format ones ] or have the plugin auto-crop them at runtime either.
Any ideas / suggestions ? Please note that I am very much a designer, not a dev / hacker – so please keep it relatively plain language !
Here’s the link to where I’m at with it, if that helps: http://www.creationtheory.com.au/beta/Cody/blog/
