Feature Request: Native “Find and Replace” for Block Editor

I would like to propose adding a native “Find and Replace” tool to the WordPress Block Editor (Gutenberg).
Currently, editing long-form content or updating site-wide terminology (like brand names or contact details) requires manual, block-by-block searching, which is highly inefficient.
Proposed functionality:
- A simple modal/bar activated via
Ctrl+H(orCmd+H). - Basic “Find” and “Replace” fields.
- Options for “Match Case” and “Replace All”.
This is a baseline standard in modern document editors (e.g., Google Docs, Notion). Integrating this would significantly improve editorial workflow and reduce manual errors for thousands of content creators.
Is there an existing effort to implement this, or can we open a formal discussion on the best way to move this forward?
