    Actually the plugin doesn’t delete it, it uses the API of WordPress to create the images. So that doesn’t depend on the retina plugin, it depends more on your WordPress. Normally it doesn’t remove this info.

    For example, upload one of my thumbnail images from the Totoro Times first page on the excellent tool here: http://regex.info/exif.cgi. You will see, all the information are there.

    Try with a normal thumbnail, not retina. Do you have the EXIF?
