Feature Request – Form input type Phone (with ‘tel’ type)

I want to a simple form input like the ‘number’ field, however with using the ‘tel’ type instead of ‘number’.
I don’t want the additional options such as what input ‘Phone Number (Better)’ uses.
‘Phone Number (Basic)’ would be good to use however it uses the input type=’phone’ which I’m pretty sure is not a valid input type at least according to HTML5 standard.
