• Overall I am extremely satisfied SNAP customer. I have used it hard for a couple of years now.

However, I’ve had to significantly cut back on my use of it recently. Here’s why:

I use WordPress like most people use Tumblr. Lots of links to external content, along with some comments.

I do most of my blogging from the iPhone and iPad. I usually write separate posts for WordPress and Facebook, and I usually post to an external URL rather than back to my own blog.

I find SNAP very hard to use on a mobile device. There is just too much panning and dragging back and forth, and trying to tap relatively small tap targets. One particular problem: the custom URL field is EXTREMELY wide, and once I’ve pasted a URL there it’s impossible to pan left and right. I have to hold the phone sideways to continue.

On the other hand, the text field for the Facebook entry is far too small. I can’t see more than a few characters in there.

So that’s my feature request: A mobile-friendly user interface. I don’t have any specific suggestions on how to do that, other than fixing the text field sizes, which is a start.

    Maybe a mobile app?

SNAP is not alone here. The native WordPress app on iOS is awful, and I haven’t found a good alternative.

    Thanks!
