I can definitely update the image output to include the image alt text, which was an oversight on my part–this will be in the next update. However, the description for the Pinterest button should be using the post title, independent of the image itself. Can you share a link where you’re seeing different behavior so I may verify, please? Thank you.
Hi,
You are correct. It is the title, not the image file name. The issue is, the title appears as the description with “+” between each word.

Title is: RAISED BED REVOLUTION | SMART IDEAS FOR YOUR GARDEN
Pin says: Raised+Bed+Revolution+|+Smart+Ideas+for+Your+Garden
Pinterest already pulls in the title and excerpt (for me, created via Yoast plugin) so alt text would be great.
I really like how lightweight the plugin is.
Thanks.
Hi Robin,
Still hoping for a solution for this.
Thanks.
My apologies on the delay–kids out of school and holidays. I think I’ve set up a fix for the errant + in the description, but am still thinking through the best way to allow for the image alt text, if it exists. The bugfix has been pushed to the Github repository, if you are able to swap out plugin files, but the alt text/title may take a bit longer. If it drags on too long, I’ll get the bugfix updated here and keep working. Thank you for your patience!
