feature image problem !! :((

hello everybody ..

I such have a problem with the feature image .. when I upload any photo it doesn’t be a feature image automatic .. I need to do that manuel .. the problem that when I preview it the scale change like that ..

in the main page .. I have resolve it with a custom field and a option in the theme
but in the category !? 🙁 .. I think that the problem with a permission in the files or folders .. because the hoster that I have got the server from have a strange security .. that any files or folders had been created automatic .. must have their permission manually .. and I have prepared another web site with the same theme without any problems 🙁 like that to
