Damn! That’s right. Thank you for reporting this issue that fast.

I’ve just updated the plugin. v1.3.1 should fix this.

how can i update the plugin without admin panel?

    oh, i found it, sorry.

    thx

I was reported by another user that v1.3.1 fixes the issue. I’m confident that will work for you too. Of course, let me know if it’s still broken on your side.

    4 sites in crash…

@i-sicily.tv Sorry for this πŸ™ Are you using v1.3.0 or v1.3.1? v1.3.1 should fix.

    1.3.0 updated 30 minutes ago …

1.3.0 updated 30 minutes ago … I entered via ftp, changed its name to the subfolder and the site is broken down; the plug is not active, but there is no uninstall.

Okay. Everything should be back to work as soon as v1.3.0 is replaced by v1.3.1.

The faulty code is supposed to be triggered in the admin section, not in the regular site. This means that only the Dashboard section of the site is broken but not the main site. Your visitors shouldn’t notice anything wrong. Can you confirm this?

    Right, I hope ….

The Plug-in you can not uninstall, creates problems and remains disabled….

You can normally uninstall the plugin from the Dashboard, but I admit I don’t know how to do this from FTP.

You can just remove the plugin directory (ie. wp-content/plugins/favicon-by-realfavicongenerator). Then WordPress should go back to work immediately.

Is there an idiot’s guide anywhere to accessing the site via ftp and updating / disabling the plugin?

I have only ever used the dashboard.

    Cheers.

I’m definitely not a specialist at managing WordPress via FTP. But removing the plugin directory should work just fine.

@wrc1986 Do you have a problem with the plugin, too? Do you know which version you have? Because v1.3.1 shouldn’t have the issue.

1.31 resolves the issue for moi.

    Cheers
