FatFreeCart “Quantity” Field

    What is the “quantity” field in the FFC area of the add and edit pages actually for? I tried it set to “1” on a test item, but was able to purchase it several times. I was assuming that the “quantity” field was to notify the plugin of how many of an in-stock item actually existed so that it could count them down until it was sold out…is there some other purpose for it that I’m just not getting? Or is this a bug?
