    Thank you for reporting the issue.

    The error occurs while WooCommerce Subscriptions is displaying the billing address in the admin area. However, according to the error log, the fatal error is triggered inside the Flexible Checkout Fields plugin:

    wp-content/plugins/flexible-checkout-fields/classes/display-options.php:379

    One of the checkout field values is being returned as a PHP object (__PHP_Incomplete_Class) instead of text. This can happen when older or incorrectly serialized data is stored in an order or subscription.

    Please follow these steps:

    1. Create a full backup of the website and database.
    2. Check whether the problem occurs for all subscriptions or only for a particular subscription.
    3. If possible, reproduce the issue on a staging site.
    4. Temporarily deactivate Flexible Checkout Fields and check whether the subscriptions list opens correctly. Please do this only on staging or during a maintenance window, as checkout-field functionality will be unavailable while the plugin is inactive.
    5. If deactivating Flexible Checkout Fields resolves the error, reactivate it and send us:
      • the Flexible Checkout Fields version,
      • the WooCommerce Subscriptions version,
      • the PHP version,
      • the complete fatal-error log,
      • information about whether the error affects every subscription or only selected records.

    Please do not manually remove or modify order metadata in the database. The affected field should first be identified so that its value can be corrected safely without losing customer or subscription information.

    Once we receive the details above, we will be able to determine whether this is caused by a specific subscription record, legacy field data, or a compatibility issue.

    Could you please confirm whether any of the following changes may have occurred in your store before the error appeared?

    • A plugin that previously saved checkout or order data was deactivated or removed.
    • A plugin was updated and one of its PHP classes was renamed or removed.
    • The website was migrated without all the plugins that had been active on the original site.
    • An integration or custom code saved an entire PHP object in the order metadata instead of a plain text value.
    • Custom code uses the flexible_checkout_fields_print_value filter and may return an object instead of a string.

    WooCommerce Subscriptions triggers the error while displaying the subscription list because it retrieves the formatted billing address. However, this does not necessarily mean that WooCommerce Subscriptions created the invalid value.

    Please also let us know whether the issue affects every subscription or only specific ones.

    We discovered that a bot managed to create “guest” orders by injecting code into the input fields; the issue was resolved by clearing the “broken” orders from the list. Thank you for your time.
