are you going to add new plugin, then go to upload and make sure you are uploading a zip file of EM then it should work let me know if this does not work if you would like

can you try to turn-on wp_debug or check your php log to see if there’s any other error?
Hi:
A long frustrating day and still no fix for this as yet.
– Call my host server to check PHP configuration and increase memory size
– Tried every possible configuration on no active plugins and different themes and loading and activating plugin via wp and ftp.
I’m really still trying to give the plug in a chance — I just cannot get it activated.
Any and all help appreciated!

have you tried to disable all your plugins (including EM) and then revert back to default wordpress theme at the moment; then
1. one by one activate your plugins starting with EM first and test.
2. if everything is working perfectly, activate your chosen theme and test
3. if everything is working perfectly, activate your other plugins one by one

Unfortunately, yes. Dozens of times. I cannot get EM to activate at all. the same error over and over.
What else can we try? I feel like I’m invested in this thing now 🙂 Is anyone there willing to have a look?

I think we need to know what the error you’re getting is.
Did you check your error logs?
However, I’m very certain this is a server issue rather than EM-related, because the vast majority have no issues when activating, especially on a vanilla WP setup.
