    Got recently installed and was uploading a few themes and Plug In – Buddy Press which wouldn’t install for some reason. Now I get this at my main admin page and can’t log in:

    Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 30720 bytes) in /home/enablecr/public_html/wp-admin/includes/upgrade.php on line 1322

    Help suggestions please?

    Backed up Softaculous DB then deleted a stray wp folder in the directory and at least the log in page appeared but then, the same message…

    Hi jonnydenable,

    That’s a PHP memory error. Try the suggestions in this forum thread. If all else fails you may have to contact your host to see if they can increase the allotted memory.

    OK support at tells me I have to add

    memory_limit = 64M

    in a new PHP.ini file as well as add

    SetEnv PHPRC /home/username/public_html/php.ini

    to the ht.access file.

    But I have very little coding knowledge.

    Could you tell me what the whole php-ini code looks like and is it just a notepad file called PHP.ini (ext: ini)?
