• I installed a new theme and activated it and now I get this message when trying to access my site and admin page.

Fatal error: Cannot instantiate non-existent class: recursivearrayiterator in /usr/local/pem/vhosts/165409/webspace/siteapps/54511/htdocs/wp-content/themes/widescreen/functions/admin-js.php on line 9

    Thanks for your help 🙂

  • Run the server buddy plugin to make sure your install is good (PHP5, etc): http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/serverbuddy-by-pluginbuddy/

Graph Paper Press could also probably give you support.

I can’t access my admin page to run the plug in I get the fatal error message when trying to get to my admin page. I will try Graph Paper Press support too.

You’ll need to log in via FTP (or your hosts control panel) and change the name of the theme. That will disable it. Then you’ll be able to log back in.

Awesome-sauce! That worked thanks! I reactivated my current theme and my site is back up and running. I’m going to upgrade to the latest version of WordPress and deactivate my plugins before trying it again. You rock!

    Hi Kenya_jon.

I am getting almost the exact same error message as you ie. something is not right with admin-js.php

I’m curious to know if you ever got round this problem? I can get the Graph Paper Press ‘modularity lite’ theme to work (and most other ‘lite’ themes) but not the full version of ‘modularity’.

If you had any advice or tips it would be much appreciated!

    Cheers in advance,

    John

Oh and Devin…if you’re around!…I ran the server plugin buddy and it gave me a few fail messages. The first one being that PHP 4.4.9 failed. I’m not entirely sure what that means but if there’s a way for me to upgrade the PHP on my server I’m fairly savvy with FTP basics and suchlike if that’s a workaround you might be able to suggest?

    Doi!

    Ta,

    John,
Are you syncing your website with photoshelter? That is where I ran into my problem and it was a combination of Devins suggestions and what finally got it working was I pointed to an actual page on my website (http://jonmoyerphotography.com/about) in the field to enter my url on photoshelter. For some reason pointing to the home page, jonmoyerphotography.com was causing it to freak out but it was cool once I directed it to an actual page deeper than the home page.

Hope that helps. I’m really not a tech guy, just a photographer trying to learn enough to run my own site.

I had to call my host to update to PHP 5.

    Cheers!
    Jon

    Hello,

i am not sure if this is the same problem but i installed the Theme ‘Landscape’ from Studiopress and as soon as i activated it the following error msg appeared:

Warning: require_once(/home/morethan/public_html/abaoaqu.it/wp-content/themes/genesis/lib/init.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/morethan/public_html/abaoaqu.it/wp-content/themes/landscape/functions.php on line 3

    Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required ‘/home/morethan/public_html/abaoaqu.it/wp-content/themes/genesis/lib/init.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php’) in /home/morethan/public_html/abaoaqu.it/wp-content/themes/landscape/functions.php on line 3

what is the problem and what needs to be done to resolve it? any help is much appreciated!

kenya_jon: Yes I too am syncing up with Photoshelter but haven’t got that far yet. My problem was with PHP 4.4.9 and 1and1 hosting Technical Support sent me a solution to that problem which was quite an easy fix. Thanks for the heads up about potential problems with the Photoshelter syncing. I’ll let you know how I get on!

gianluigi: I’m with 1and1 web hosting and they told me that I have to upgrade my PHP to version 5. This sounds like a nightmare but was actually very easy and took 5 minutes. Here’s the link they sent me which I assume could be applied to any web hosting service:

    http://faq.oneandone.co.uk/scripting/php/5.html

Give me a shout if that doesn’t make sense and I’ll post a step by step process of what I did to fix it.
