    The plugin auto-updated to v7.1.3 last night and crashed the site with this error:
    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘)’ in /home/customer/www/nottherealsitename.com/public_html/wp-content/plugins/sg-cachepress/core/Rest/Rest_Helper_Options.php on line 106

    After disabling the plugin I reinstalled but received the same error again so have left it disabled. The site is hosted by Siteground.

    Hello @whax,

    We have reviewed the code in the mentioned file, but we were unable to find the reported syntax error. Please uninstall the plugin and assure that all files are removed. Then, install it again and if the issue still persists provide us with your domain name. You can also open a new ticket from your SiteGround User Area and will be glad to investigate the case further.

    Best Regards,

    @whax,

    I would like to update the case with further clarification on the encountered error. A syntax error on the reported line could be returned if the running PHP version is below 7.4. Please check the .htaccess files for handlers enabling older PHP versions. You should also check .htaccess files located at wp-content/ directory. If you find such, delete the handlers and leave the default PHP version set from Site Tools. This should resolve the issue, but if not, update the thread with your domain name or post a new ticket on our end.

    Best Regards,
    Dimitar Petrov

    The site was running PHP 7.2.34. Before upgrading to PHP 7.4 I attempted to reactivate the plugin (now v7.1.4) but received the same error as before. After upgrading to PHP 7.4 I was able to successfully activate the plugin.

    Thank you for your help!
