Hi @lspringael,
what happened on Saturday? Did you update the plugin? Install some other plugins?
The plugin worked just OK for weeks before Saturday?
I’ve looked at our plugin’s code and the namespace declaration is the very first statement in that mentioned file.
Could you please verify that on your server? View the file in question and see what is on line 3. It should be namespace WPMailSMTP;.
Maybe this was just a temporary issue when updating some plugins on your site?
Did you try to activate the plugin again to see if it was just a temporary issue?
Take care!
Hi Gregor
Thanks for your reply! The plugin worked fine for a few weeks and suddenly it gave this error (I don’t think it was due to an update or a new plugin). I tried to activate it again, but it gave the same error.
The code in the document says:
<?php
namespace WPMailSMTP;
/**
* Class WP provides WordPress shortcuts.
Thanks!
Linda
Hi Linda,
Could you please try to re-install the plugin.
So, delete it from your plugins and then install it again.
Maybe some of the files are corrupted.
Let me know if that will resolve the issue for you.
Take care!
Hi @lspringael – We haven’t heard from you in about a week, so I’m going to go ahead and mark this ticket resolved. If you still have questions, though, please feel welcome to continue the conversation.
