Fatal Error

    Hi,

    I’m getting the following error after Photonic was updated today. The site was upgraded to Gutenberg but changes suggested by you were not made yet (updating gallery code).

    Fatal error: Can’t use function return value in write context in /home4/stthomasli/public_html/wp-content/plugins/photonic/photonic.php on line 1309

    Which PHP version are you on?

    This is an error that shows up on much older versions of PHP – if you upgrade to PHP 5.5 or higher you should be fine.

    I was on 5.4. I’ve upgraded to PHP 5.6 and the error is now gone

    Thanks for confirming. I will release a patch later today so that the fatal errors don’t show up for others.
