• I had manually configured Wordfence by adding wordfence-waf.php file in the root.
    It has been working fine.
But I just migrated my website to a new server and when I try to get to the site I get the following error:
Fatal error: Unknown: Failed opening required ‘/home/workpei/public_html/v1dev/wordfence-waf.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php’) in Unknown on line 0

I tried everything I could but nothing fixes it. I removed wordfence-waf.php, deleted the whole plugin folder and dropped all the wp_wf… tables in the database. Still the same.

I also read similar problem on support pages but non efixed it.
    Please help me ASAP

  • After you migrated is the include path the same?

I changed the path and it didn’t work.
However. I removed all the lines that the plugin had added at the bottom of my .htaccess and removed the file user.ini and wordfence-waf.php in my root by wordfence. It fixed it.

I am not going to configure the plugin anymore. does it stop working if I don’t?

    Thanks
