    I have a fatal error when I try to activate the plugin:

    Warning: include_once() [function.include]: Failed opening ‘/home/digit276/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-noexternallinks/wp-noexternallinks-options.php’ for inclusion (include_path=’.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php’) in /home/digit276/public_html/wp-digifx/plugins/wp-noexternallinks/wp-noexternallinks.php on line 179

    Fatal error: Class ‘wp_noexternallinks_admin’ not found in /home/digit276/public_html/wp-digifx/plugins/wp-noexternallinks/wp-noexternallinks.php on line 180

    Can you help me?

  • Hello! This is strange – main plugin file can’t find and include other files… Please try reinstalling plugin.

    I have the same problem before. I assume you have renamed your wp-content directory into something else just like what i did.

    For example you have renamed your “wp-content” directory into “wp-digifx”, this is how to fix it:

    1. Download WP No External Links plugin manually, then extract the file with winrar/winzip/7zip/up to you.
    2. Download Notepad++ or any other code editor.
    3. Open custom-parser.sample.php in Notepad++.
    4. Rename wp-content/ to wp-digifx/ in line 6. Then save it.
    Picture example: http://i.imgur.com/KHAgjLL.jpg
    5. Open wp-noexternallinks.php in Notepad++.
    6. Rename wp-content/ to wp-digifx/ in line 183, 187, 189, and 197. Then save it.
    Picture example: http://i.imgur.com/KHAgjLL.jpg
    7. Compress wp-noexternallinks folder to wp-noexternallinks.zip with winrar/winzip/7zip/up to you
    8. Manually upload your zipped plugin then activate it.

    Why? Why you do it? Absolutely useless modification which does not make your blog more secure or anything.

    Ok, it still irritates me but I added support for custom wp-content location in version 3.5.9.7
