[Resolved] Fatal Error

  • Hi,

I’m kind of new to wordpress. I downloaded tablepress plugin, and I clicked to activate it but I was then redirected to a blank page with this message:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function shortcode_exists() in /homepages/25/d235359763/htdocs/cepsi/wp-content/plugins/easy-table/easy-table.php on line 80

I can no longer access the website (http://cepsi-cipss.ca/) nor can I even see the website. I’ve tried to access the site via an FTP in order to ‘delete’ the plugin, but it will not connect.

    Please help!

    Thanks

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

From what I can see, this is an issue in the “Easy Table” plugin and not in the “TablePress” plugin (in whose forums you have posted).

It seems like you are using an old version of WordPress (namely 3.3.1 instead of the current 3.9.1), which is missing a function that “Easy Table” is using.

You will therefore have to deactivate “Easy Table” via FTP, so I can only suggest that you contact your webhost company about those FTP connection issues.

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Hi Tobias,

Thanks for the reply and my mistake for posting on the incorrect forum!

    thanks!
