• Running WP 3.8 and getting the fatal memory error…

Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 75497472) (tried to allocate 7744 bytes) in /home2/adventu/public_html/wp-content/plugins/easy-watermark/lib/EasyWatermark.php on line 715

Cranked the available memory to 128 MB, still not working.

Does this mean that the plugin is not compatible with WP 3.8?

  • Hello,

In what situation did it happend? Did you try to watermark many images at once? Please write something more about this issue. Theoretically the plugin works with WP 3.8 as it worked with any earlier version.

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 52428800 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 12000 bytes) in /home/content/91/5694191/html/wp-content/plugins/easy-watermark/lib/EasyWatermark.php on line 815

First time install, I went to test the watermark on one image that was already in my Media Libray to see what it looked like and got this message. I went to the Media Library and just choose the option to “Add Watermark”.

I am running WP version 3.7.1.

there is some small bug in the current version which cause the plugin to use a bit more memory than it needs. It will be fixed in the new version. Solution for now: please try to increase the memory limit in your php settings, it should help.

I know that this thread is a couple of months old, but as it’s still open, I’d like to add that I’ve got what appears to be the same problem.

    WP 3.9
    Easy Watermark 0.5.2

Using the plugin with Gravity Forms for front-end uploads and photos larger than about 1mb are timing out (internal server error). I raised the issue with my host and after some back and forth, they tell me:

In the end, the issue appears to be a memory limitation
Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 106168320) (tried to allocate 33544 bytes) in /home/domain/public_html/URL.com/wp-content/plugins/easy-watermark/lib/EasyWatermark.php on line 851

This runs out of memory at 100MB which shouldn’t be the case as we have your account set to be able to max out at 256M(per php script) total of 1GB. This usually means this limitation is set within a PHP script somewhere but I have been unable to find it.

Any new ideas? Love the plugin, but for now it’s not usable.
