I’ve just deactivated the plugin due to almost every working link being reported a broken (98% false positives).

I too have problems with HTTPS-only websites.
* 403 for http://wiki.creativecommons.org/wiki/FAQ (which actually HTTP 301-redirects to the HTTPS equivalent)
* 999 for some other sites
* 404 for HSTS sites such as Wikimedia, e.g. http://it.wikisource.org/wiki/Aiuto:Fonte
(Feel free to ask me a patch if you want, but tell me what license the code uses as I couldn’t find it.)

The plugin seems to be hit and miss with https links. In fact I am thinking of abandoning it.
Same problem – https Website shows a bunch of false positives, particularly related to images. Will be uninstalling.
