failed to write to disk

Hello I am getting a “failed to write to disk” error when trying to update my wordpress to the most recent version. I have had no problems updating
before suddenly this problem came up.

I looked online for solutions and saw that it was suggested to change the permissions on the content folder and uploads folder. Both of these were
already set the the suggesed settings.

I contacted my service provider and they said its not on thier end therefore not thier responsibility (typical) and I would have to contact wordpress,
hence me now posting here.

My understanding of the workings of wordpress is very limited and now I’m in a bit of a bind.

I appreciate any help.
