Failed to make image responsive

    Hello, I am very new to wordpress and have a little knowledge about web development.
    Trying to build a website using theme : Tesseract.
    I added only one image in my home page using the visual editor (Page builder).
    [980px X 1300px].
    I want to make this image device responsive. Tried Wptouch-for a mobile version, RICG responsive image- but nothing worked. When I visit my page through a mobile device the image is cut by the middle.
    I want to squeeze my pc version website into mobile version without loosing any percentage of that only image.
    Please advice me, what should I do?
