Failed 1.52 -> 2.0

I just wanted to note that my 1.52 -> 2.0 failed. Moved the entire old wordpress dir and dropped in 2.0, edited config manually. Loaded up site and ran upgrade.php, it said step 1 had been completed succesfully and that I was good to go. Upon hiting the site i got the ‘It doesn’t seem you have installed wordpress’ error. After messin with it for a while I just went ahead and removed the db, started with a fresh install and copied over all my old databases save for wp_options*. This seems to be the database it queries for a good install, looks to be the blog name value. So anyway just had to setup all my options again, was quite a hassle all in all though. I dont know how to exactly tell if everything was actually updated, but everything is working ok. It must have made some changes to bork my wp_options.
