Hi @jerina90
Did you possibly disable storing the First name and last name at the Global settings > Privacy tab: https://nextendweb.com/nextend-social-login-docs/global-settings-privacy/ ?
This setting helps our users to make their site GDPR compliant (you can learn more about that at the Nextend Social Login GDPR documentation: https://nextendweb.com/nextend-social-login-docs/gdpr/ ) so if you disabled it, you might have done it for the same reason. So basically, with this setting turned off we’re not storing the first and last name of the users but generate a totally unique username for them that can’t be traced back to the user.
Hi
Thank you for you answer. First and last name is enabled and during this time some of the users has for username namesurname but others has a number.
Mos of the users are in china. If this helps.
Any other suggestion.
Thank you
Hi @jerina90
Yes, in that case, that’s the origin of the problem. Unfortunately, WordPress does not support such “special” characters in the username, that is why we need to change them to these numbers.
Unfortunately, in the free version there’s nothing much to do about this, but in the Pro Addon it’s possible to Ask Username on registration if it’s empty or invalid.
