Hello, I am trying to connect my FB page since it has disappeared from social. I am able to connect to my Facebook profile. I have followed the steps the friendly bot suggested and it still wasn’t working. I was directed to make a post here.

    Website: chapterbreak.net

    WordPress account juliecookies@gmail.com

This is the error message: “Error connecting account. Something went wrong while creating a connection.”

I only have two facebook pages under my account, and it lets me select one, then fails. I do have my pages linked to Facebook business manager.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Hi @juliecookies2, in order for Jetpack Social to work, it’ll first need a working Jetpack connection.

When I check your site through the Jetpack debug at https://jptools.wordpress.com/debug , it shows the error XML-RPC is not responding correctly ( 200 ). Could you check with your web host about enabling XML-RPC access? If you wanna restrict access, you could also ask them to allowlist the Jetpack IPs.

Let us know how it goes, and we can take another look.

    Hey @juliecookies2,

Do you have updates about that, do you still need help? We usually close inactive threads after one week of no movement, but we want to make sure we’re all set before marking it as solved. Thanks!

thank you that worked. It was the really simple security disabling XML-RPC. Turning off that setting now allows the FB page to connect.

    Hi @juliecookies2,

Great to hear you were able to get it up and running again.

I’ll mark this thread as resolved, and if anything else comes up feel free to open a new thread.

    Have a great day!
