Hello,

I’m getting this error when I try to login with Facebook. Can you please assist?

Alternatively, is there any way for us to completely disable the avatar feautre?

Hi @willwong89

Can you check if the wp-content/uploads/2020/03/137fd612-user-10.jpg exists on your server? If you can’t find it, is it possible that you removed this file from the Media Library or via FTP?

I logged in to your site with Facebook, but the error didn’t pop up for me.

Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to reproduce this issue even after deleting the avatar image, but I’ll take another look and consult our developer.

In the meantime, you can disable storing the avatars at Global settings > Privacy: https://nextendweb.com/nextend-social-login-docs/global-settings-privacy/
Does this make any difference?

I couldn’t reproduce the problem either. Anyways according to your warning the problem seems to occur because there is an attachment still associated with your account, but for some reason the attachment doesn’t exist at the path.

In the latest build of Nextend Social Login, we made some modifications in avatar handling. So if there is an avatar associated with the account, but it doesn’t exist, then we will download it again.

Hello Ramona & Laszlo,

I actually altered the plugin so that it’s no longer showing the error message. However when I tried using the app on another site (https://www.kossie.co.uk/wp-login.php), I’m not able the login with Facebook (it created a WordPress account tho after I clicked on “Login” tho). Do you have any insight on the issue?

I was able to log in just fine on the site. The /wp-admin/ page loads just fine where I can log out. (I didn’t really see any menuitem to do that.)

What different menu items / sections should be visible for logged in users that you can’t see after logging in?

Did you try it on https://www.kossie.co.uk/wp-login.php? I got it working on kossie.willwong.hk but not kossie.co.uk !

Is it possible that you had a different Facebook APP on your site, and the Facebook user you’re using was originally registered with that account? Try logging in to this account manually and unlink the “old” Facebook account. You should be able to log in after that.
