We are using Facebook for Woocommerce Plugin and it is causing PageSpeed Remove unused JavaScript suggestion with below link: https://connect.facebook.net/signals/config/433902107161727?v=2.9.31&r=stable

We are using Hummingbird Pro however it is not able to find the facebook file to optimize and the developer WPMUdev says they can not do anything about it since it is a 3p script. I am wondering if anyone has suggestions to get around this warning from PageSpeed?

    WooCommerce version: 4.8.0
    WordPress version: 5.6
    WordPress memory limit: 256 MB

    Hi @reghta!

Automated site performance tools give general recommendations for optimizing your site, but don’t always factor in specific software platform like WordPress and WooCommerce. For instance, Google PageSpeed Insights often recommends removing render-blocking Javascript and CSS but implementing those changes might make create a minimal performance improvement while messing up your site’s appearance: https://wordpress.com/support/site-speed/.

If your site is performing well overall, you may not need to optimize the file. Also, if the file is loaded off Facebook’s servers, as I suspect it is based on what you’re saying, you won’t be able to optimize it.

The Remove unused JavaScript is likely caused by the Facebook code loading on that page but not being used specifically on the page.

Hope this explains the issue a bit further. I recommend posting Facebook for WooCommerce issues on the plugin’s official support forum if you need further assistance: https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/facebook-for-woocommerce/.
