Extra space and text

    The bottom of my webpage is a mess – I don’t know how to fix it.

    Here’s what I want to do:

    (a) Remove the extra space at the bottom of my content page – above the widgets. There’s a huge, empty space.

    (b) Remove the extra ‘odd’ bit of text that says ‘Impact Copywriting’ on the very bottom left-hand side of the page opposite ‘Proudly powered by wordpress’. I have no idea what it’s doing there?

    I’m using a Twenty Ten theme and I have Jetpack installed. I also have the Custom CSS stylesheet installed to tweak bits and pieces, but I don’t know the codes to do this.

    Can anybody please tell me how to fix these two annoying issues?

    What did you find out with Firebug?

    I’m quite a novice and have no idea what I’m doing. I had a look at Firebug and to be totally honest, it blew me away. I’m not confident at installing external plugins and not knowing how to use them. I have many plugins installed and don’t even know how to use them – go figure!

    Makes you wonder why I even have a website? At least I’m trying though.

    I was just hoping there was another, more convenient way to make these changes with what I currently have. Surely there’s a CSS code to fix these issues? I’ve tried looking but I have no idea what code I’m looking for. Catch 22.

    For (a), is the issue on the Home page? I can’t see a “huge, empty space”.

    It’s on the bottom of ALL pages.

    Scroll down to the very bottom of my homepage. See the image at the very bottom of the content page “Our copywriting sepcialists ….”

    Well, directly under that image is a largish space between the solid black line above:

    Impact copywriting …………. All words copyright ………. web design ………. facebook link

    I want to decrease that space (between the bottom image and the line. Make sense?

    No, not that space.

    Please don’t worry. I’ve had a look on someone else’s computer and it doesn’t appear to be that big of a space to fret about.

    I have also removed the extra text bit. So all is sorted.
