I am using Extra theme by Elegant themes and when I selected reader mode on amp plugin amp pages showed many shortcodes and other Divi builder things seen on normal WordPress editor, as I enabled it to look like extra it had issues like design errors so went for reader mode but its a bigger nightmare to solve, I have temporarily disabled AMP but you can reproduce this error easily, hope someone helps!

  • @anthonyedwardstark5100 thanks for reaching out!

Divi (builder) is currently not AMP compatible, and from what I understand, the Extra theme relies on it for its layouts.

You can read more about the general compatibility issues with Divi here.

I am curious if you tried one of the provided reader mode themes and if you experience the same issue?

yes, I tried reader mode it showed me many themes to choose from which AMP version of the page will use as its theme and when you check the amp page it has many shortcodes on it and I have already said about his error in the forum but if I select Extra as the theme page look horrible, older versions of the plugin had no such issues and reader mode worked fine

is there any solution for this…

@anthonyedwardstark5100 thanks for the additional info.

So I’ve been testing with the Extra theme and do not see the issues present in the Reader AMP Legacy Theme or other Reader themes available in the list.

Could you share a particular Divi builder module that had a shortcode showing in the front end on your site?

Additionally, if you’d like to share your Site Health information through this form we can check if something else could be involved.

not sure what your asking for?

@anthonyedwardstark5100 thanks for the Site Health Info!

I see that the AMP specific information isn’t present because the plugin wasn’t installed at the time, but that information would be good to have.

If you can gather and resend the information when the issue occurs in Reader Mode and send any screenshots of your experience (pages with shortcodes showing) that would be helpful as we investigate this further/ try to recreate it on our side.

You can provide a link to screenshots using a service like Imgur or Jumpshare.

@anthonyedwardstark5100 since we have not heard from you, I am marking your topic as resolved. Please feel free to open a new topic if you have further questions.
