• Hi all, I would like to share with you my little experiment site.
    http://extjswordpress.net

The site shows the ExtJS based WordPress theme. Please check it and share your opinion about this way of presenting WP content.

And please treat it as a demo only, the product is not finished yet and should not be used for production. It rather shows possibilities of content presentation.

  • Wow. That’s pretty impressive. Its obviously based upon a Microsoft Outlook type baseline. I guess that’s why a lot of people will find it easy to navigate. It is quite impressive, though, to see that and compare it to my humble site.

I am impressed at how much work must have gone into it. It looks good. Real good.

I’ll stay it stright out: I’m biased in favor of ExtJS, so I love this theme and the functions it brings. see http://bentrem.sycks.net/blog/ (Just my tweets … it’s a bit of a sandbox.)

But as folk are saying in the ExtJS forum thread, there are some problems with this approach: that it’s heavy and for many readers slow-loading is the most immediately obvious.
I’d love to work on optimizing this, but then the fact remains that pages don’t get spidered. (How to work through XHR is more than I can handle!)
